Ministering from a Distance

While our annual visits to India are important to make connections and see the work there first hand; we can’t limit the ministry or touch points to only our time in the country. While Covid made Zoom meetings a necessity but after a while it became a punchline, the bane of many people’s existence.

Now Zoom meetings are something I look forward to as once a week I am able to teach, disciple and enjoy time with pastors in India that are a part of our network.

We pray together, we laugh together and we grow in God’s word together. It amazes he how even for pastors in some of the rural areas a smartphone allows them to connect to the other side of the world. The hope is it helps them feel less isolated. We want to give them the sense that they are not alone. We are all working in God’s Kingdom together.

I am thankful for the technology that connects us, translates for us and allows us to stay in touch in a way that even a few years ago wouldn’t have been possible.
